Сквер біля майбутнього музею історії міста покликаний створити громадський простір поруч із головним входом в споруду та стати частиною єдиного комплексу із спорудою музею. Тому розпланування території підіграє плавним архітектурним формам музею. А активне озеленення навпаки контрастує і створює привабливий фон та оточення для ніжного образу фасаду.

Square near the future city history museum is designed to create a public space next to the main entrance to the building and to become a part of a single complex with the museum building. Therefore, the layout of the territory is based on smooth architectural forms of the museum. Active landscaping, on the contrary, contrasts and creates an attractive background and environment for the delicate character of the facade.

Основними планувальними елементами скверу є 4 клумби аморфної форми. Вони структурують простір, направляють основні пішохідні потоки та створюють затишний простір по центру, де розташована основна окраса скверу - композиція скульптур Миколи Мазура. Саме в цій зоні розтошовані лави для відпочинку. Інші елементи, такі як ліхтарі та смітники, розроблені спеціально для цього проекту і створюють єдину композицію із спорудою музею.

Four amorphous shape flower beds are the main planning elements of the square. They structure the space, direct main pedestrian flows and create a cozy space in the center, where the main decoration of the square is located - composition of Mykola Mazur's sculptures. There are benches for rest in this zone. Other elements, such as lanterns and dustbins, are designed specifically for this project. They create unike composition with the museum building.

Скульптури Мазура - одна з цікавинок Хмельницького. У місті в різних громадських просторах можна знайти металеві витвори місцевого художника Миколи Мазура. У парках, на площах, навіть в кінотеатрі можна знайти чудернацького вигляду скульптури, інколи у образі дракона або ретромобіля, а іноді це абсолютний абстраціонізм. Однозначно - це привертає увагу. Місцеві жителі уже давно звикли до них і сприймають як фон. А от гості Хмельницького завжди звертають на них увагу. Той, хто мав справу з металом, може собі уявити, скільки праці було вкладено в кожну скульптуру.

Саме ця композиція знаходилась біля Готелю Поділля, але коли власники готелю перетоврили площу в паркінг - місця цим фігурам не знайшлось і їх просто відгрузили в парк (читай викинули). Під час роботи над проектом скверу виникла ідея зробити центральним об’єктом простору добре відомі скульптури Мазура, які вже стали мистецьким символом міста. Таким чином дана композиція стала частиною скверу біля музею історії міста.

Скульптури були оновлені і перефарбовані згідно ескізів автора в колір, який початково задумувався, але не був реалізований, очевидно через брак фінансів. Тепер вони знову прикрашають місто в сквері біля музею, до речі, трохи далі але на тій же вулиці, де вони "жили" багато років біля готелю Поділля.

Mykola Mazur's sculptures are one of Khmelnytskyi's curiosities. You can find metal works by the local artist Mykola Mazur in various public spaces in the city. In parks, squares, even in the cinema, you can find strange-looking sculptures, sometimes in the form of a dragon or a retro car, and sometimes it is absolute abstractionism. Undoubtedly - it attracts attention. Local residents have long been accustomed to them and perceive them as a background. But Khmelnytskyi's guests always pay attention to them. Anyone who has dealt with metal can imagine how much work was put into each such sculpture.

Specifically, this composition was located near the Hotel Podillia, but when the owners of the hotel turned the square into a parking lot - there was no place for these figures and they were simply shipped to the park (read thrown away). During the work on this project, the idea arose to make the well-known Mazur's sculptures, which have already become an artistic symbol of the city, the central object of the space. Thus, this composition became a part of the square near the city history museum.

The sculptures were updated and repainted according to the author's sketches in the color that was originally intended, but was not implemented, apparently due to lack of funds. Now they are decorating the city again in the square near the museum, by the way, a little further but on the same street where they "lived" for many years near the Podillia hotel.

Концепція озеленення базувалась на різнотрав'ї в поєднанні з хвойними видами кущів. Впродовж року клумби змінюватимуть об’єм і колористику, але залишатимуться окрасою цього простору. Взимку сніг присипатиме вічнозелений ялівець і сосни, а також пожовтілі злакові трави, весною у сквері окрім хвойних зацвітатимуть Сакури, а влітку починатиме цвітіння Перовскія і набиратиметься сили золота Осока, до кінця літа підростуть і почнуть цвітіння інші злаки - Війник, просо Heavy Metal, Кортадерія. А осінню, коли вже відцвіте Перовскія, прийде найкращий час для злакових трав.

The landscaping concept was based on various herbs in combination with coniferous species of bushes. Over the course of the year, the flower beds will change in volume and color, but will remain the decoration of this space. In winter, snow will cover evergreen juniper and pines, as well as yellowed grasses, in spring Sakura will bloom in the park in addition to conifers, and in summer Perovskia will begin to bloom and golden sedge will gain strength, by the end of summer other cereals will grow and begin to bloom - Voynyk, Heavy Metal millet, Cortaderia . And in autumn, when the Perovskia has already bloomed, the best time for cereal grasses will come.

Мощення виконано середньоформатною бетонною плиткою з локальним застосуванням колотого граніту. Поребрики навколо клумб виконані з монолітного архітектурного бетону.

As paving we used medium-format concrete tiles and a bit of crushed granite. The curbs around the flower beds are made from architectural concrete.
