VILLA SERENITY

Location: Khmelnytskyi
Area: 473 sqm
Status: concept (2024)

Architecture: REIFSCHNEIDER BUREAU
Visualizations: REIFSCHNEIDER BUREAU

The area is located on the outskirts of the city of Khmelnytskyi. In this project, we dealt with a hilly area that offers an incredible view of the forest. Our task was to place the house with the orientation of the main rooms towards the scenic view, utilizing all the advantages of the hilly terrain. Additionally, it was important for us to create a private courtyard for secluded outdoor relaxation.

The house consists of two floors and a basement. The basement is used as a technical space that includes a storage room and a boiler room.

First floor.

The main entrance is located on the eastern facade. Nearby, there is a convenient parking space for two cars. Upon entering the house, one sees beautiful spiral stairs. Near the entrance area, for convenience, there is a wardrobe and a restroom. The stairs are the main compositional element around which the main spaces are formed. Specifically, there is an open area that includes the living room, dining room, and kitchen. On the other side of the stairs, there is an office that has access to the backyard. The house has a garage designed for two cars. The door from the garage leads to a series of technical rooms such as storage rooms, corridors, and stairs that lead to the basement.

From the living room and kitchen, you can access the terrace. It is divided into several zones: a lounge, a dining area with an outdoor kitchen, a swimming pool, and a sunbathing area. A path from the terrace leads to a lounge area with a fire pit. These zones provide a favorable opportunity to enjoy relaxation with a view of the forest.

Second floor.

The second floor has a classic set of rooms from living rooms and auxiliary rooms. All living rooms have a view of the forest in the east of the plot.

It was important to achieve the effect of visual lightness with the fairly large size of the house. Such an impression can be achieved thanks to the volume of the second floor, which is shifted relative to the first in two directions. this creates the impression that the two floors live an independent life. This is emphasized by the use of different materials: thermal wood on the second floor and a stone facade on the first floor.
